Canton Recreation Park

Canton Recreation Park offers a variety of facilities. These facilities include a playground area for children, outdoor workout equipment stations, 2 sets of horseshoe pits, 6 basketball goals, 1 sand volleyball court, 4 shuffleboard courts and a dog park. This facility is open to the public for use during day-light hours. During the summer months a concession stand is open at the Swimming Pool.
Recreation Park: Picnic Shelters
There are 3 picnic shelters at Recreation Park available for rental. The rental fee is $50/day. Picnic shelter rentals must be done at the Canton Town Hall. NO rentals will be made over the phone; however, feel free to call 828-648-2363 for additional information regarding the shelters.
Recreation Park: Stage
The stage at Recreation Park is available for rental. The rental fee is $250/day. This cost includes the 3 picnic shelters which MUST be rented with the stage. Stage rental must be done at the Canton Town Hall. NO rentals will be made over the phone; however, feel free to call 828-648-2363 for additional information regarding the stage.
The Canton Armory
**DUE TO FLOOD DAMAGE THIS SPACE IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE** The Canton Armory facility is located at 71 Penland Street and can be rented for numerous events. The space is used for weddings, reunions, fundraisers, receptions, etc. The Armory dimensions are 87 feet long by 75 feet of open space, with a maximum capacity of 300 occupants. The available equipment at the facility include 42 (8 foot tables), 22 (60 inch round tables), and 292 chairs. The venue also has a small stage and sound systems that can be utilized when rented. The Colonial Theatre
**DUE TO FLOOD DAMAGE THIS SPACE IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE** The Colonial Theatre is a state-of-the-art facility located at 53 Park Street. The Theatre has hosted numerous concerts, plays, pageants, recitals, weddings, and more. Stage dimensions are 30 feet long by 32 feet wide with a maximum capacity, including performers, of 350 occupants. The facility has state-of-the-art sound equipment, movie projector, and lighting. The Colonial Theatre Annex
**DUE TO FLOOD DAMAGE THIS SPACE IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE** The Colonial Theatre Annex is located at 53 Park Street and is connected to the Colonial Theatre, which can be rented separately or in conjunction with the Theatre. The Annex dimensions are 24 feet wide and 39 feet long with a maximum capacity of 70 occupants. Chairs and tables are also available upon request.
